Other units seem to have wrong unit ID and lack descriptions.

Thanks guys, now looking into and fixing the issues asap. Mostly it's just missing #'s here and there. This seems like a simple thing to keep in mind, but it's very easy to forget when you translate those sentences. Smile

Since there's no guarantee there will BE a next CAT software run, I think it's safe to take the clean file Wink
I don't mind fixing it up again (or not) in the future.

Not quite. When the stuff I don't want to translate is at the end of an item, I translate the first sentence as # and the remaining sentences as / (as per the dire bear)
When there are sentences in the middle, it becomes a bit more complicated, because if I would translate those as /, these would show up in the text, so depending on the number of sentences skipped I add a number of .... which is less disturbing in the flow of a text.

Thanks for these syntax checks. I've just released patch 2.41 but that was before I saw this post so I'll have to issue another patch. Maybe I'll wait until you've gone through all files. Smile
Could you let me know when you're done checking? Most of the major glitches in unit, medal, ability and building desctriptions seems to have been fixed now.

issue 2 is now probably fixed, I still missed a missing #
issue one is a strange one. I assume you mean the strange Russian words under the Workman description, but they are not part of the description. I have no idea why, where from and how these pieces of text are inserted into the description, because they don't occur in unit.txt.

The "Тип" and "Класс" is a new ability to describing the unit, it links to the Type and Class in var-file for current unit. You can ask for replace it with english word to Jazz.
I don't know exactly, but if you don't use the last fix for mod, some buildings are haven't correct name, like a halfling's up for mill, and some ability of dwarf's units don't work correct.
And yes, you will not find the link for this word because they in code and including in exe-file

Yes, I thought it must be something like that. But why did I only see it with the Workman? Or did you see it with other units too, Bavarian Kid?
Not that it matters, because we somehow need to get an English version of this. I wonder if Jazz could somehow create an external var file for it, calling it from within the exe-file.
I'll check that with him. And I've used fix 2 for the English release, so that would be the latest fix, right?

I don't think these are localized. I'll run a string finder on the game exe.

"Тип" and "Класс" are at the end of the unit description for all units without exception - in case of longer descriptions you may have to scroll down a bit Wink
