Hey,
This version looks good (or this might be from the last version).
Couple of things I've noticed:
1. AI in battles in smarter (this might suck at times...).
2. The crystal quest rewards will be "delivered" where ever you are on the map (nice!)
3. There's a ritual to talk to the quest crystal remotely.
4. New heroes (or portraits anyway).
Positive so far
Oh, and also, while many people are enjoying the new version of the game (and so am I) I'm getting a crash if I try to continue my old campaign. Any pointers?

You are continuing from the Astral Plane, not in the middle of a shard conquest, right?
IIUC, your game crashes in 2.80 but not in 2.70? Immediately or only when you select a shard?
If you upload your save game, maybe Jazz will take a look.
I ran into something I don't understand in the patch notes:
"Almost all of the fighters with improvements (with a couple of exceptions) can now be promoted by manually reaching a certain level. Probability does not depend on randomness. To increase the display of the warrior, click the arrow when it turns yellow. The right response to this arrow will give you the necessary information about the requirements for the promotion of the fighter. "
It sounds like this is saying that units will automatically have a .5-up transformation option at certain levels instead of randomly past a certain level (which is awesome) but I can't understand the last two sentences. It sounds like there is some way now to get information about promotion requirements on a unit by unit basis, but I can't find it in the game. What is this "click the arrow when it turns yellow" thing? What is the "right response"? Can someone explain this?
When you right-click a unit and view all the unit info, if the unit can be upgraded, you will see an up arrow in the top-right corner of their unit portrait.
That arrow will be yellow if their level is high enough to upgrade, and red if their level is not high enough to upgrade.
If you right-click that arrow, you'll learn to what the unit can upgrade, and what level you need to be for it to turn yellow.
If it's yellow and you left-click it, the unit will be upgraded immediately, and keep some of its excess XP (so it won't necessarily upgrade to a level 0 version as before.)
Does this mean that Monks can no longer upgrade to Preachers? I always used to skip the Faith Devotee upgrade and hold out for that, since they can gain some very powerful spells for a Level 2 unit slot.

You can upgrade Monk to Preacher only on level-ups if you are lucky to get this option.
Good to know! That's not any worse than before, just means I have to be patient and not upgrade my monks as soon as I can. I think they're the only unit with two upgrade paths.
I think that Sorcerers can upgrade to both Necromancers and Demonologists, so perhaps Monks aren't alone in having 2 upgrade paths.
And thank you very much for the description! I understand completely now.
I still feel like enemies are leveling insanely fast. On my game yesterday, on turn 40 the enemy came thundering over the horizon with 3 level 20 heroes complete with level 30+ troops. That's just insane.
It happens almost every time now, and I really feel like it's killing the game's fun for me. I'm all for a challenge, but I can't have a nice experience if I'm almost getting flattened every single second and have to constantly rewind just to stay alive.
I hate it when the words of macho braggarts who probably aren't even all that good convince the devs to up the difficulty. It happens in a lot of games, and it's pretty much always a mistake. I'm actually happy about the new AI, which makes battles much more interesting, but the insane leveling thing is almost a game-killer for me. There is just no way to get 3 heroes to level 20 and all of their units to upgrade10+ in fewer than 40 turns. If there is, someone please post a video of it.

cool update, love it! Thank you for translating it, boon!
One question, what is the "Army composition" button in the hero inventory window for? On mouseover it shows some price, gold and gems, but what does that mean? Edit: ok it came to me, it means army maintenance costs!
I don't know if this is a known issue, but the Orc totem bug seems to remain. I thought it was fixed, but it's definitely still there.
I can get a replicable crash when facing a number of orc shamans. I crashed my game several times on the same fight (thus killing my score, since the game counted all of those crashes as reversions).
It seems bound to totems reaching a certain high level through shamans boosting/healing them, though it's hard to imagine that something so straightforward wouldn't have been fixed.
