Please note that this version has been replaced by the New Horizons mod v. 14.1228, which can be downloaded HERE.
I would like to keep this thread for releases only. Please don't post comments or anything else here.
After over a month of hard work, here it is:
Eador Genesis New Horizons mod v14.0920 English v2.0
Please go down to the next post to also download the latest patch.
Download the ZIP-archives and unpack them. If you have in fact reached 100% download, but can't seem to find the file in your download folder,
see if there's a file in it with a name that looks something like "Unconfirmed***.crdownload" and simply rename that to Eador.zip or Eador_patch.zip or whatever.
Before installing the mod, make a backup of your vanilla or previously modded game folder, just in case.
Copy the unpacked files and folders into your existing Eador game folder, first the main mod, then the patch. The vanilla version needs to be 1.05.1.
Start the game as usual and enjoy the best 4x game ever made!
IMPORTANT!
In order for the mod to work properly, you must start a new game. Loading an old saved game can seem okay at first, but can have unwanted side effects later on.
If you are already in the middle of a campaign and would like to continue with it, install the New Horizons mod while in the Astral in between shards, and all will probably be fine (no guarantees though).
This release should be free of any major bugs by now, although you never know.
It's been tested quite a bit, but this has all been a labour of love, so don't expect it to work 100%.
It will most probably work absolutely fine, but small bugs might still be there.
If you encounter errors that are not language-based, but text or game related, feel free to report them in this separate thread:

Language-based errors, related to spelling and grammar, missing characters and term suggestions,
are not crucial and will slowly be corrected by me in subsequent versions as I discover them while playing.

ORIGINAL TRANSLATION THREAD
For those of you who are completely new to the New Horizons project, browse this forum, with the help of Google translate if needed, to see how much effort and creativity has gone into it. Here's a brief overview of all the features and improvements that have been created since its very first steps over 2 years ago, up until the latest English release v1.5 of mod v13.04Z (18 months ago):
- Unit promotions (all castle units, except for the ".gs-timer").forEach(n=>{let o=n.textContent.trim().match(/^(\d+)[.-](\d+)[.-](\d+)\s+(\d+):(\d+)$/) units have a chance to be upgraded to stronger and better ones. All the promotions are only inside one tier)
- Tactical improvements, since there are a lot of new abilities, spells and units AI will surprise you with new combinations of challenging enemies.

- Balance changes to hero skills
- Hero class changes
- 139 new units (including castle units, all kinds of monsters and powerful bosses)
- 200 new spells (including all kinds of blessings and curses, damaging spells, AoE spells and even instant kill spells if you are lucky enough to find them)
- 255 new items (including weapons, armor, trinkets, artefacts to summon powerful monsters and contracts to hire new units)
- 15 new sets (giving all kinds of cool bonuses if you are able to obtain them )
- 2 new Races plus expanded and renewed existing ones (no more Goblins and Orcs together, all of them have their own melee, caster and ranged units)
- New buildings (including epic tier shops and a casino)
- New encounters and events
- Everything is created with new graphics and new sounds (units, spells, etc.)
Mod v13.04Z was skilfully translated by Drakon and his team, but after that he no longer had the time for it.
Since then, in the last 18 months, there have been loads of awesome changes and improvements added,
which can now finally be enjoyed by us English speakers:
- 3 races (Dwarves, Alkari, Dark Elves) fully reworked.
- hundreds of new images and visual improvements, including the models for all the hero subclasses.
- new music pack from the composer of original Eador.
- several hundred new events and dialogs.
- nearly a hundred new neutral armies, suited for different playing styles.
- dozens of new combat abilities for units both old and new.
- dozens of new sites and encounters.
- many new spells and item sets.
- several new buildings and rituals.
- countless improvements to balance.
- countless improvements to game lore and universe logic.
- nearly every alliance quest reworked for consistency.
- campaign balance and flow improved.
- countless bugs and mistakes fixed.
I'd like to thank Boon and especially Kettarienne for their support in the whole translation process this past month. It's been a pleasure working with you.
